The best way I (talontsi07) would say to find your device is to go "ctrl F" (Find) since denco7 and I are still adding to this page and we will organize everything after we have added all HTC devices
Hard Reset For HTC 3G ( Jade )
To perform a hard reset 1. Pull out the stylus. 2. With the device turned on, press and hold the VOLUME DOWN and ENTER buttons "aka the center button" , then press the RESET button with the stylus tip. 3. Release the RESET button, but continue pressing the VOLUME DOWN and ENTER buttons until you see this message on the screen: This operation will delete all your personal data and reset all settings to manufacturer default. Press Volume Up to reset to manufacturer default, or press other keys to cancel. 4. Release the VOLUME DOWN and ENTER buttons, then press the VOLUME UP button to perform the hard reset, or press any other button to cancel the reset. 5. After restore completed press VOLUME UP again to restart the device.

For HTC TyNT / TyNT II ( Tilt ,Kaiser, Hermes )
To perform a hard reset 1. Depress two soft keys and hold ( see photo ) 2. While depressing soft keys , insert tip of stylus into hole above and to the right of the charger/usb port. 3. Push stylus in and hold, until keylights blink and message appears on white screen , telling you you are about to delete all your data. 4. To perform a hard reset 1. Pull out the stylus. 2. To perform a hard reset 1. Depress and hold two soft keys under display screen 2. While holding down two soft keys, press side power button for a second. 3. After several seconds, the screen will display prompts telling you to press " 0 " to proceed with Hard Reset.

For the Google G1 ( HTC Dream)
To perform a hard reset 1. Turn the G1 off. If it’s frozen on, take the battery out and put it back in the unit. 2. Hold the Home and Power keys down at same time for about 25 seconds. You will see a yellow triangle screen with exclamation point in the middle. Now to wipe the device clean: 3. Press Alt+L. 4. Press Alt+W for a factory reset. 5. Press the Home and Back keys again for about 25 seconds. The device should then reset again and the hard reset is complete.
For the HTC Touch Cruise ( Iolite )
To perform a hard reset: 1. Power off your device. 2. Press and hold the VOLUME DOWN and ENTER (circular one) buttons, and then press the POWER button (warning message appears). 3. Press the VOLUME UP button to perform the hard reset, or press any other button to cancel the reset.
For the HTC Touch (Vogue, Elf)
To perform a soft reset
All you need to do is push the reset button with the stylus on the bottom of the device To perform a hard reset
Press and hold the TALK and END buttons, and at the same time, use the stylus to press the RESET button at the bottom of your device. Release the stylus, but continue pressing the TALK and END buttons until you see the following message on the screen: This operation will delete all your personal data, and reset all settings to manufacturer default. To perform a hard reset 1. Press and hold the TALK and END buttons, and at the same time, use the stylus to press the RESET button at the left side of your device. 2. Release the stylus, but continue pressing the TALK and END buttons until warning screen 3. Release the TALK and END buttons, and then press ENTER on your device.

To perform a hard reset 1.Press and hold the Left SOFT KEY and the Right SOFT KEY, and at the same time, use the stylus to press the RESET button at the bottom center part of your device.
2.Release the stylus, but continue pressing the two soft key buttons. Release them only when you see the following message on your device screen: “Press SEND to restore factory default, press END to quit.“

To perform a hard reset Turn off your phone, then press both *SOFT KEYS* and *POWER ON* device. After moment release both soft keys. On the black screen asking for confirmation press *GREEN PHONE BUTTON* and wait couple minutes
For the HTC Artemis (Orange M650, HTC P3301, Dopod P800, O2 XDA Orbit, Dopod P800W, T-Mobile MDA Compact III, HTC P3300)
To perform a hard reset 1.Press and hold the Left SOFT KEY and the Right SOFT KEY, and at the same time, use the stylus to press the RESET button at the lower left side of your device.
2.Release the stylus, but continue pressing the two soft key buttons. Release them only when you see the following message on your device screen: “Press Send to restore manufacturer default, or press other keys to cancel.“
3.Press on your device. Warning! Your device will be set back to factory default settings. Please ensure any additional installed programs and/or user data have been backed up before a hard reset is performed.

To perform a hard reset 1. Slide the Volume slider down and at the same time, use the stylus to press the RESET button at the back of your device. 2. After a brief period of time, two choices will appear on-screen. Press the CENTER OK button to perform the hard reset. Note If you do not want to perform a hard reset, press the CAMERA button to exit. 3. Press the POWER button.
For the HTC Libra (Verizon SMT5800 / XV5800, Bell HTC 5800, HTC 5800, HTC S720)
To perform a hard reset 1.Turn you phone off. 2.Press and hold the two softmeny buttons (those 2 placed to the left and right direct under the display) while you press on/off button for about 0.5 seconds. 3.Make sure you still have the soft buttons pressed when release the on/off button. 4.After a few seconds a text will appear in the display telling you to press "0" (zero) to make an hard reset.
For the HTC Gene (HTC P3401, HTC P3400, Dopod D600)
To perform a hard reset 1. Press and hold the left SOFT KEY and the right SOFT KEY, and at the same time, use the stylus to press the RESET button. 2. Release the stylus, but continue pressing the two SOFT KEYs until you see the following message on the screen: 3. Release the two SOFT KEYs, and then press the TALK (Send) button on your device.
